Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) or Azad Kashmir is an autonomous administrative territory of Pakistan. After Indo-Pak separation from British regime, the greater state of Jammu and Kashmir was split into two states, one belongs to India and the other belongs to Pakistan.
Azad Kashmir borders to Gilgit-Baltistan on the northern side, Punjab province on the southern side, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on its western side and Indian Kashmir on the east. Muzaffarabad is the capital city of Azad Kashmir. The local people of Azad Kashmir are called Kashmiri people. The official language of Azad Kashmir is Urdu and regional languages spoken include Hindko, Pahari, Punjabi, Pashto and Gojri. The literacy rate in Azad Kashmir is more than 65%.
Azad Kashmir is blessed with dozens of beautiful valleys, mountain ranges, rivers, waterfalls, lakes and plateaus and is considered to be one of the best tourist attractions in whole country.
Administratively, Azad Kashmir is divided into 3 divisions Poonch, Muzaffarabad & Mirpur which are further divided into 10 districts including
